Given that I’m only posting these old layouts now, it’s hard to believe just how quickly 2013 is disappearing before our very eyes. It still feels like yesterday, especially when I see how little Oakley was compared to looking at him over the other side of the room now.
The orange in the Apartment Therapy January Cure inspired the colour scheme for week 2, so I pulled out the orange cards from PL Olive Edition and worked from there. Now, orange isn’t my favourite colour, but it does make for a bright page. I also had some fun working digitally this week. Other than that, it’s a really simple week with not much embellishing at all.
Here’s a closeup of the left hand side. The biggest focus for our life this week (the whole of January really) was the January Cure – where I got in and cleaned and organised my entire house. I had such motivation at the start of the month (let’s not talk about the end of the month). The schedule appears at the bottom there, and I’ve thrown in some before, during & after shots from around the house. Some souvenirs etc that just didn’t make the cut to stick around on our cabinet anymore – I don’t think I’ll ever scrap them so I popped them in here for remembrance.
On the right hand side I got a little hands on with Photoshop Elements 10 for some photos of Baby O, as inspired by the lovely Petra Corcoran (Project Life Creative Team member) in her Week 4. At the time she hadn’t made her video tutorial yet, so I made my own little one up. I have tweaked it a few times since then, purely because my printer prints photos a little weird and I always have to move my designs over to the left 🙁
