I’m a lover, a mother, a dreamer, a memory keeper. Amongst other things, but they’re the most relevant to this blog anyway. I live in Brisbane, Australia, where it’s beautiful one day, perfect the next. Between full-time work, my 8 year old daughter, 7 and 2 year old sons, I’m usually kept busy, but you can find me in my scrap studio at every chance I get! I find if I don’t get my creative on often enough, I turn into ugly-to-be-around wife, mamma and friend – 2 weeks is my limit!
I love my life, and this beautiful earth, and draw inspiration from wherever and whoever I can. I try not to be influenced by the “latest and greatest”, which I’m sure my hubby (aka bank account) appreciates!
As you’ll notice, I’m a traditional paper scrapper, but coming originally from the IT industry, I can’t help but throw in a couple of digital elements or techniques also. You will see that I sometimes use Project Life products, but I do it my way, and whilst I’ve tried the “photo a day” thing, my life is just too hectic at the moment, and I tend to forget to snap those everyday moments. I love using ephemera and those pockets just make it oh so easy.
I don’t want to box myself into a particular ‘style’ and like to give anything a go. I attended art classes as a teenager, so I enjoy making my own backgrounds and embellishments, but with 3 kids running around, they’re bound to break, crush, spill or stain something before I get to finish!
I don’t work on any design teams, so any recommendations on this blog are purely mine and non-biased. I welcome any suggestions for using other products, especially if they make my life easier and my layout production faster.
